The main intention behind the concept at 345 Queen Street was to create a stronger sense of place for students, visitors and staff. It is one of the first places that new International students will have exposure to; it presents itself as a great opportunity to embed strong Te Ao Māori narratives, whilst also reflecting the varied journeys of the users. The space focuses on themes of navigation, connection and protection; and explores the threshold of a bi-cultural dialogue.
